Mr. Jefferis is 3650 REIT’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Mr. Jefferis brings 16 years of commercial real estate investment, capital markets, and other legal experience to 3650 REIT. 

Prior to joining 3650 REIT, Mr. Jefferis was Counsel with Sidley Austin LLP (“Sidley”), where he advised banks, investment funds, and high net worth individuals in commercial real estate matters ranging from lending transactions (CMBS loans, bridge loans, mezzanine loans, DIP financing, construction lending), loan workouts, master and special servicing matters, preferred equity investments, secondary market transactions, and property acquisition/disposition transactions. 

Before his work at Sidley, Mr. Jefferis was a Global Finance Associate with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP (“Cadwalader”), where he represented lenders and investors in an extensive range of CMBS origination, secondary market, and servicing matters. Before Cadwalader, Mr. Jefferis served as a judicial clerk to the Minnesota Court of Appeals. 

Mr. Jefferis holds a B.A. in English and Philosophy from the University of Oregon, a J.D. from the University of Oregon, and a LL.M. from New York University.
