Toby Cobb, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of 3650 REIT, has 30 years of experience in commercial real estate and finance. In 2013, Mr. Cobb and his partner Justin Kennedy co-founded 3650 REIT’s CRE equity and development affiliate, Grass River Property, a leading South Florida developer with approximately 2 million square feet of real estate owned. 

Prior to Grass River, Mr. Cobb and Mr. Kennedy were Co-CEOs leading the restructuring, management and eventual sale of LNR Property, LLC. Mr. Cobb built and led LNR’s loan origination platform and led its primary loan servicing and distressed assets servicing platforms, which are among the largest in both the U.S. and Europe. Prior to LNR, Mr. Cobb was Managing Director and Co-Head of US Commercial Real Estate at Deutsche Bank, leading fixed rate and GSE originations and its loan servicing platform. While at Deutsche Bank Mr. Cobb served on The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Bank Board. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. Cobb played leading roles in CRE investment banking groups at DLJ and Citicorp Securities. 

Mr. Cobb holds a B.S. in Economics and Finance from Southern Methodist University and an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from New York University. He is the Chairman, Emeritus and Board Member of the Master of Real Estate Development and Urbanism program at the University of Miami, a Trustee of the Urban Land Association (ULI), and is on the President’s Council of the Real Estate Roundtable. Mr. Cobb is a long-standing Board Member of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council and the chair of the membership committee. He is a Board Member of The Waterside School and Baptist Health South Florida, and holds an advisory role with the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate.
